Fashion Show
2018 Steampunk NZ Fashion Show, Sunday 3rd June
Venue: Oamaru Opera House, 90 Thames Street, Oamaru.
The Fashion Show takes Steampunk fashion beyond ornamentation and accessorizing, and into the ingenious world of Victorian Science Fiction.
Each costume has its own story line, which the audience will hear during the Show.
Sci Fi gadgetry/accessories are expected and should support the role of the character in the Steampunk Dimension. These don’t need to work, - although it’s great if they do. Remember, a great costume will win only if it is truly Steampunk!

If you are in Oamaru, we offer regular working bees where you can get help with sewing and design, - even welding! – or just come for a chat and a catch-up. We also welcome volunteers to help make decorations for the gala ball, market, vaudeville and other venues. Check Facebook for details, or contact@steampunk.org.nz
Registration form to be received by 15th March or as soon as possible thereafter, - even if you are still working out the details, and $60 fee by 30th April 2018. Fee includes backstage pass for model and designer, and refreshments. Plan to be at the Opera House most of the day from 9 a.m. until about 5 or 6 p.m.
This is a unique opportunity to exercise your creativity, and meet some great people from around New Zealand and further afield. Why not give it a go!
